Marco Schwartz has perfected his form for the WC and has already won a medal.

During the Friday morning he rode 1.19.47 and took the lead by 58 hundredths over gold favorite Marco Odermatt, who rode the first ride in 1.20.05.

For Mattias Rönngren, as the only Swede in the discipline, made a fine run, 2.82 seconds behind leader Schwartz, and is currently in fifteenth place.

- It was better than expected, I didn't think that when I went, says Rönngren in Viasat's broadcast after the ride.

The Slovenian Zan Kranjec has the third best ride so far when he rode in 1.20.23.

At the same time, Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen was only 1.20.88 and 1.41 seconds behind first place.
