Speed ​​golf is said to have originated in the United States in the 1970s, and in Japan, tours in various locations began last year.



As the opening match of this year's tour, 27 men and women from inside and outside Mie Prefecture participated in the tournament held at a golf course in Shima City.



On the 14th, when the first player started at 8:00 am, the following players started every 3 minutes.



Speed ​​golf is a competition where players compete not only for golf scores, but also for speed around the course.



The players progressed through an 18-hole course with a total length of about 7 kilometers, repeatedly hitting and running.



The winner was Tatsuya Shinmoto of Aichi Prefecture, who won the tour last season, finishing the 18 holes with a score of 84 and a time of 46 minutes and 54 seconds.



Mr. Shinmoto said, "I couldn't play good golf in the first half due to the wind, but I was able to make a comeback in the second half. I made my own bag to carry the clubs and made it lighter, so I think that alone will help me improve my time." was talking
