Sweden's greatest national team player Caroline Seger has not played football since the health injury from last summer's championship.

Recently, however, she has started training with Rosengård and on Tuesday she did her first national team training.

- I have longed for football of course, it has always been my goal to be allowed to finish what I once started.

So that the injury did not end my career.

I'll do that myself when I'm ready.

Have a contract for one more year

The 37-year-old has a contract for one more season with Rosengård and is looking towards playing in the WC this summer.

However, there will not be any match play during the current national team gathering.

- I want to perform at a high level and do everything I can the last thing I have left in my career.

Because my days are numbered, I promise.

The months that have been on the side of the football field have been useful, says the star.

- Everything around that comes with being an elite player and being team captain and a person who wants to push issues and women's football forward, I've had to be away from that somewhere.

It's been a bit...it sounds silly, but it's been nice to get some breathing room.
