In a three-on-three game, the Czech Republic came in three-on-one and Lukas Klok, formerly of Röge, scored the decisive goal after a free play at the left post.

In the final minutes, Sweden pressed for a winning goal.

Jacob de la Rose, Fribourg-Gottéron, took a hard Czech stick right across the face and fell to the ice bleeding.

The umpires did not intervene, the third high Czech club they missed, and instead the Czech Republic got a conversion position.

Laboriously, de la Rose got up and went to change.

There were upset feelings in the Swedish booth before the extra time. 

Wallmark equalized at the start of the third

At the beginning of the third period, Sweden equalized at 1-1.

The puck played to Lucas Wallmark, who plays in the Swiss league for Zurich team ZSC Lions, who slid forward and flicked the puck high behind Czech goalkeeper Ales Stezka.

It was a tentative Swedish first period.
