Hilda Svensson participated and won JVM silver earlier this year.

Her successful performance there can be assumed to be a contributing factor to her now getting the chance in the senior national team.

She and Ebba Hedqvist both made their debut for the Women's Crowns when they faced the Czech Republic.

Svensson began his A-team career by being named the best Swedish player.

But it was unfortunately one of the few bright spots for Sweden, as the team fell by a whopping 5-2 against the Czech Republic.

After the first period, it was tied at one goal each, with Fanny Rask equalizing in the last second.

But in the second period the Czech Republic pulled away and in the third they put the nail in the coffin when they scored 5-1.

Linnea Johansson improved the numbers in the final stages of the match, but it didn't get any closer than that.
