A misunderstanding of the rulebook led to Sweden only registering four women's skiers for the WC sprint despite being entitled to five skiers at the start.

Mona Brorsson was teased - but now it is clear that she too will ride the sprint on Friday.

The message came as a surprise to the Swede.

- It feels a little jittery, a little nervous.

After all, I have been set on being a reserve and ready to compete, but not in this way.

Now I really think it will be great fun, a huge bonus, says Brorsson.

"The favoritism will not lie with me"

But she does not make any great demands on herself before the sprint.

- The favorite won't be on me, but I will do everything I can to manage this great chance I've been given and make the most of the race.

Late message

The news that she would be allowed to go came late.

The Swedish riders in the sprint were presented at a press conference, without Mona Brorsson.

Later in the day, the union captain Johannes Lukas came rushing to her room and said "I have news".

- Then there has actually been quite a lot of back and forth during the day, whether I will be allowed to go.

But now it looks like I will be there, says Brorsson.
