Filip Fjeld Andersen has left the Norwegian WC squad and traveled home to Norway.
The reason is that he has tested positive for covid-19.
- Out of consideration for the others in the group, it is safest to send him home, says national team doctor Åsne Fenne Hoksrud in a press release.
Norway is not fielding a replacement for Fjeld Andersen, who was part of the Norwegian relay team that won the World Cup competition in Hochfilzen earlier last winter.
Individually, he has taken fourth place as the best this season.
