Violent clashes and brawls with hands and kicking between members of two teams in the Iraqi Football League inside the Karbala International Stadium sparked anger among Iraqis on social media, and some of them described the incident as a "scandal".

Yesterday, Tuesday, the confrontation of the Police Club and its counterpart Al-Qasim witnessed non-sports events following a joint ball between two players, which prompted a group of players and members of the administrative and technical staff of the two teams to enter into a verbal altercation that turned into violent clashes between each of the member of the Board of Directors of the Police Club, Ali Al-Shahmani, and Ali Abdul-Jabbar, the coach of the club. denominator.

Pictures and video clips from the match showed a state of chaos and clashes between players and members of the two teams, exchanging slaps and punches with hands, kicks with feet, and violent stampede, in the presence of stadium security personnel.

As a result of the quarrel, the coach of the Egyptian Police Club's guards, Amr Abdel Salam, suffered a broken nose as a result of a blow dealt to him by Ali Abdel Jabbar, the coach of Al Qasim Club, as pictures published by sports journalists showed Abdel Salam's injury.

The administrative board of Al-Qasim Club accused Ali Al-Shahmani, the supervisor of the police club, of violating the system and sports laws, by crossing into the technical area of ​​the club and verbally abusing the coach, confirming that it had filed an official complaint against Al-Shahmani with the competent authorities.

Commenting on the incident, sports journalist Adnan Lafta wrote on his Facebook account, "A scandal in Karbala stadium, quarrels, punches, and a lack of morals in the Al-Qasim and Police match. The Football Association is called upon to impose the maximum penalties on those responsible for the indecent scenes of violence to shame our football and our stadiums. Whoever offends the reputation and morals of the police does not He deserves to stay in this ancient team, we are looking for role models, not cracks."

Sports journalist Maher Hassan, who published pictures showing the injury of the coach of the police club's guards, said, "The Egyptian Amr Abdel Salam is in a hospital after he was attacked. What suffering does Dorina suffer from, and for how long?"

The Iraqi Football Association has not yet issued any statement about the incident, amid calls for penalties for violators of the rules and regulations inside the stadiums.

The match, which witnessed heated events, ended with Al-Shorta defeating Al-Qasim, with two clean goals.
