Already after 120 meters the race was coming to an end when he got a big push, messy with eleven runners at the start, but he was on his feet and could follow behind the hare and the Kenyan Collins Kipruto.
It went quickly and 400 meters was passed by the hare in 51.37 with Kramer just behind.
They had a gap to the rest of the field that caught up.
At the entrance to the final lap, Kramer lunged forward and pushed again, gaining a gap to take a safe victory ahead of Kipruto.
Afterwards, Kramer posed with the mascot and high-fived with a bouquet of flowers in hand.
It was the third win in as many races this indoor season for Kramer.
