- I am very happy about the result after such a fast race, says Hodgkinson to the organizer in SVT's broadcast.

The hare, 42-year-old Aneta Lemiesz, picked up a very high pace and passed 400 meters in 57.09, with only Benin's Noelie Yarigo a couple of meters behind her.

Hodgkinson was then quite far behind.

As Lemiesz stepped off, Yarigo lost speed and was caught by Hodgkinson who took the lead.

Despite the high speed, Yarigo managed to bite Hodgkinson's back and was rewarded with a personal record of 1.58.48.

She screamed her joy as she lay on the track and exhaled afterwards.

- Hodgkinson managed the race better than Yarigo, says SVT Sports expert Alhaji Jeng.

20-year-old Hodgkinson is European champion and has both Olympic and World Cup silver on the merit list.
