Harry Kane can score, to say the least.

Already in the 15th minute he struck in the Premier League meeting at home with Manchester City - and made history.

When the 29-year-old placed the ball behind goalkeeper Ederson, it was his 267th goal for the London club, making him the top scorer in Tottenham's history.

Furthermore, he is now the third player to reach 200 Premier League goals, only Alan Shearer, 260, and Wayne Rooney, 208, have celebrated more times than Kane.

The goal?

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg latched on to Rodri's mis-pass, headed the ball to Kane and then the striker used the wide side of his right foot to make Tottenham history.

Tottenham one point from the top four

The match ended 1–0.

For Tottenham - who had to do without Antonio Conte as the manager recovered from gall bladder surgery - it was an important full point in the pursuit of one of the Premier League's four Champions League places.

London rivals Arsenal could also be happy with the result, as Manchester City were left without a point in the fight for the league victory.

Arsenal top the somewhat limping table on 50 points after 20 games, five points ahead of second-placed City, who have a game more played.

Tottenham are fifth on 39, one point behind Newcastle who have a game less played.
