The last World Cup weekend before the WC was a nice form message for Edvin Anger.

The 20-year-old made it to the final in the sprint, came 17th in yesterday's distance race and ran the final stretch in Sweden's team, which came second in Sunday's relay.

- A very nice answer before the WC, says Anger.

- I felt yesterday and Friday that I had a good form and was on the way to doing something good, so it was very nice to get the answer today and the guys drove really well and gave me the optimal chance to show what I could do.

It is enough for a second place today and may be enough for more in the future as well.

In the run-up, he sprinted down both Norway's first and second teams with Harald Östberg Amundsen and Sindre Björnestad Skar respectively.

- It is very nice to beat both Norwegian teams, there were probably not many people from Sweden who thought I would do it.

I don't think any of us thought so either.

It was a very nice receipt before the WC.

“Can go a long way”

He believes that things can go even better in the WC.

- When even one of our strongest cards, William (Poromaa), is not there, we can still deliver at this level.

If we also get him on a really hard stretch, it can go a long way even at the WC.

After today's race, Calle Halfvarsson stated that he is Sweden's new finisher.

- I don't think there are that many who would have done better today.

I'll take that with me.

If I were to go the last distance at the WC and get something similar, I would feel very motivated then too, he says.

Next up is a high-altitude upload in Livigno before the WC starts.

Anger is well aware that he may then be pitted against Norway's strongest card – Johannes Hösflot Kläbo – who was not in today's relay.

- The dream scenario is the guys driving ahead create a small gap.

That's the easiest way to beat him.

If I have a great day I have a lot to go for, I like the race and the finish in Planica very well so I think it suits me.

If all the boys do well, we have a good chance.
