McLaughlin's first 60 meter race
To get an idea of how good the time is - it is a passage of 400 meters in 52.50 at a completely even speed and then continue another 100 meters at the same pace.
The reigning 400m hurdler, Sydney McLauglin, ran her very first 60m indoors.
She placed fifth in her trial heat in 7.33 and did not reach the final.
World 200m champion Shericka Jackson also sharpened her speed form by running 7.34 – also fifth in her heat and out of the final.
Aleia Hobbs won the final in 7.02.
World 200m champion Noah Lyles set a personal best when he won the 60m in 6.51 – the same time but two thousandths ahead of runner-up Trayvon Bromell.
