The Swedish message of strength was already clear after the quarter-finals: five out of six Swedes advanced to the semis (Moa Lundgren eliminated by a paltry seven hundredths).

Once in the final, there were the same four Swedish skaters on the starting line as in Livigno two weeks ago.

They formed a white wall against American Jessie Diggins and German Laura Gimmler.

The leader in the Sprint World Cup, Nadine Fähndrich, fell in the semi-finals after hooking the German Coletta Rydzek and missed the chance for another podium.

Now a break awaits the cross-country skiers before the WC in Planica starts on February 21.

Today's freestyle sprint is not included in the WC program, but the classic sprint and the freestyle sprint relay are.
