At the end of the second period between Frölunda and Örebro in the SHL, Frölunda's Mats Rosseli Olsen had to leave the match.

Örebro player Linus Öberg drove the puck in and Rosseli Olsen came in with speed as the third player in the situation and turns his back to the tackle that hits Öberg's head.

Reported the incident

The situation room then chose to report the incident to the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's disciplinary board - which has now fined Mats Rosseli Olsen for checking to the head.

Rosseli Olsen is fully responsible for the tackle not hitting the head of Öberg, who cannot defend himself as he is in a fight with another Frölunda player.

The suspension applies from February 3 - February 21, 2023. The suspension is deemed to correspond to five matches.
