  It is reported that the Mid-Winter Games will be held in Erzurum, Turkey from February 12 to 18.

This mid-winter meeting has a total of 8 major events including alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, ice hockey, ski orienteering and snowboarding, and 30 minor events.

The Chinese middle school student sports delegation plans to send 36 athletes to compete in 5 major events including alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating and snowboarding, and 22 minor events.

  According to reports, this event is the first time that my country has selected middle school students to participate in the Mid-Winter Games.

In order to actively prepare for the competition, the participating teams of the Chinese middle school student sports delegation have conducted intensive training in Jilin, Tianjin and other places.

  During the training period, the China Sports Association for Middle School Students actively carried out anti-doping education and training, and invited Liu Xianzhe, a national-level pure sports lecturer of the China Anti-Doping Center, to give a special lecture on the theme of "Anti-Doping Comprehensive Knowledge Training" to the Chinese middle school student sports delegation, comprehensively strengthening Take the gold medal of morality, style, and cleanliness, and resolutely achieve "zero occurrence" and "zero tolerance" of doping problems.

  The World Secondary School Winter Games is hosted by the International Secondary School Sports Federation (hereinafter referred to as the "FISSF") and is held every two years.

Since its establishment in 1972, the International Chinese Sports Federation has included winter sports as a competition event.

In 1973, the International Chinese Sports Federation held the World Middle School Ski Championships in Schladming, Austria for the first time. Middle school students from all over the world participated in cross-country skiing and alpine skiing competitions.

The most recent World Junior Ski Championships was held in L'Aquila, Italy in 2016, with 400 students from 15 countries participating.

In 2018, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics, the International Chinese Sports Federation held a winter multi-sports event in Grenoble, France.

Based on the success of the event, the International Chinese Sports Federation officially established the World Secondary School Winter Games, and will hold the first World Secondary School Winter Games in Erzurum, Turkey from February 12 to 18, 2023.
