Before relegation in the NHC arena, a teary-eyed Jeremy Boyce was praised.

The 29-year-old made his 681st match for Timrå tonight, and thus he has broken the club record.

No other player has played more matches in the Timrå shirt than Boyce.

- It is difficult to keep the tears away, he said in a speech to the supporters before the match against HV71.

After two goalless periods, Timrå also had reason to celebrate on the ice.

For the second game in a row, new acquisition Olli Palola scored 1–0.

Second-placed HV71, who recently changed coaches, was therefore under pressure before the final minutes of the match.

And then came a lightning-fast turnaround.

With less than nine minutes left in the third, Joey LaLeggia sent in a 1-1 tie.

Just over a minute later, the lead goal for HV also came, through Oliwer Kaski.

"It's been a turbulent few days"

The goal was match-deciding, and thus HV has picked up its first victory under the new coaching staff with Johan Lindbom at the helm.

- There have been a few turbulent days.

We fight, everything is not there.

But we show incredible heart and manage to win the match.

It feels incredibly nice, says Lindbom to C More.

After tonight's result, seven points separate HV and Brynäs on safe ground.
