Revenge for Rönnlund - takes SM gold in 10 kilometers

The SM began with sprints on Tuesday.

Then Elina Rönnlund made a costly mistake, when she led the quarter-finals, but went wrong.

Rönnlund got her revenge in Wednesday's 10 kilometer freestyle, where she went strong throughout the race.

It was enough all the way to SM gold.

- I was very hungry for revenge.

I felt yesterday that my body was good, so today I just felt that "now I have to ride correctly", she says after the race.

The silver went to Moa Ilar and Linn Sömskar took the bronze.

Sandström took SM gold - tough race for Halfvarsson

Calle Halfvarsson was the favorite for the 15 kilometer freestyle on the men's side.

But there was no SC medal for him, after an early pole break.

He finished seventh, and was disappointed after the race.

Instead, it was Björn Sandström who had to stand at the top of the podium.

- It's so damn nice.

I've had a crappy season and started to doubt what you're doing.

There is so much that comes into play, says a moved Sandström.

On the podium he was joined by Jens Burman, who took silver, and bronze medalist Jonas Eriksson.

In 1982, Skiing SM was here last with 30 degrees cold, so the start was moved forward.

It was fun to drive today, but my lower back is quite tired.

I think it's my second individual medal, so it's great fun, really.
