For the first time, Leo Borg has been selected for Sweden's squad in the Davis Cup.

He received the news on his vacation and describes it as a dream come true.

- I was here as a spectator when Sweden met Chile a few years ago and then I thought "I'll be here some day".

Now I got the chance, so it means a lot to me, says Leo Borg.

"The most important thing"

The 19-year-old, currently ranked 590 in the world, says that the form is good.

He feels that he has taken steps physically but perhaps above all mentally.

- I think I have developed my mental game.

I've become a bit calmer on the track than I was before, so it's a big step.

And I have become stronger.

There is still a lot to work on, but I think everything has developed to a slightly higher level.

How important is the mental part?

- I would say that it is the most important thing, to be able to be strong mentally in the toughest situations.

That's why the top players are where they are.

They can handle their emotions and their composure more than others can.

I still have a lot of work to do there and feel like it's a big step to take, but hopefully I can take that step soon.

The big goal: Qualifying for the Australian Open

Father Björn Borg was 19 years old, just like Leo is now, when he led Sweden to its first Davis Cup title in 1975. When Sweden meets Bosnia-Herzegovina on February 3-4, Leo Borg hopes to play, but knows it will be tough.

Both Mikael and Elias Ymer are ranked higher, as is Karl Friberg.

- We have many good players.

The chance is there, but we'll see, says Leo Borg.

Otherwise, his big goal is to qualify for the Australian Open.

- Then I will have to halve my ranking, so it is a big step.

But I believe that anything is possible as long as you do the work.
