Luleå led by five points ahead of Brynäs in the table, which now increases its distance to eight points after a clear 5-0 victory against seventh-placed Leksand.

After barely two minutes into the first period, Luleå made it 1-0 through the Finn Petra Nieminen, and despite a better first period from Leksand, Emma Nordin extended the score to 2-0 for the visitors.

- It is important to give them even less time with the puck, said Leksand's Ida Karlsson after the first period.

"Think they're throwing themselves"

But there would be more time with the puck.

The second period barely had time to start before ice giant Nieminen made it 3-0 after a weak defensive game by Leksand.

With just over five minutes left, defender Daniela Pejsova made it 4-0.

- It's a good pace out there.

I think they throw themselves quite clearly, sometimes I think they are exaggerated, says Leksand's defender Tuva Kandell after the second period.

With just under a minute into the third period, Pejsova also pushed in 5-0 - which set the final score.

The next match Luleå will face runner-up Brynäs at Bortais.
