Sweden has great talent in the middle distance.

Jonathan Grahn made a big impression in the 1,500 meters in Sätrahallen when he came third after an impressive finish.

The time 3.40.55 is a smashing of the Swedish junior record.

It was Grahn himself who had it before, but then three seconds slower.

- It feels good to do it.

Above all because it was the first real race, I am very happy with that, says Grahn.

The time is also clearly the fastest in the world this winter among juniors.

Over four seconds faster than runner-up Pavel Vinduska from the Czech Republic.

- What a man of the future in Swedish athletics, says SVT's commentator Niklas Nord.

The Swedish talent's big goal this summer is the U20 EC.

- With more races in my body, I can run even a little faster.

If I get good training and everything, I aim for a gold, he says.

Frenchman Azedinne Habz won the race in a time of 3.38.93.

Kenyan Vincent Keter came second.

Kalle Berglund has the Swedish indoor record of 3.36.63.
