Walter Wallberg's fine form continues.

Yesterday it was second place in the Canadian Val Saint-Come and last night he followed it up by picking up victory in the parallel hump after beating World Cup leader Mikael Kingsbury from Canada in the final.

- It's a bit special to drive here where I took my first ever World Cup podium six years ago.

It is becoming a favorite place, says Wallberg to SVT Sport and continues:

- It's a fantastic hill, good slope, long and super nice hump.

I stuck to the plan all day, tried to go fast and take one ride at a time and keep it together the whole way.

Take it easy from the start and then try to let go in the middle part and stress the others and it worked out.

I am super happy with the whole day.

And it wasn't made worse by the fact that his teammate, the 18-year-old talent Filip Gravenfors, finished third.

- It's fantastic fun.

It is said that there are two Swedes who have reached the podium at the same time before, but it was before our time, so this feels a bit historic.

It's great that I get to take my first World Cup victory ever and it's extra fun to share the podium with Filip, says Wallberg.

Gravenfors started the season with an eighth and a second place in Idre and since then it has only flown.

- It has gone much better than I thought.

It's my first year in the World Cup, so the plan was just to go and get the whole experience, but then it started well with an eighth place in Idre and then there was that second place and that was very big.

And it feels really good to be able to play again, it's absolutely sick, says Gravenfors to SVT Sport.
