The British newspaper “The Guardian” published its annual list of the 100 best players in the world during the year 2022, and it was topped by Argentine international Lionel Messi, the French Saint-Germain star.
Late last year, Messi led his country to win the 2022 World Cup, for the third time in the history of "Tango".
And he won the best player award in the tournament that was held in Qatar, after he contributed a major role in this coronation.

And French international Kylian Mbappe, his colleague in Saint-Germain, ranked second in the “Guardian” list.
The list included in the first 50 names 4 Arab players, headed by the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, and after him the Moroccans Ashraf Hakimi, Yassin Bono and Sofiane Merabet, while the Algerian Riyad Mahrez was absent.
