The Australian Open is coming to an end and on Wednesday night there were chaotic scenes in Melbourne.

The Guardian writes that four people were taken away from the arena after chanting slogans in support of Russia and President Vladimir Putin.

Tried Vladimir Putin

Tennis Australia advises that it has reminded players and officials of the post-event flags and symbols policy.

"A small group of people had inappropriate flags and symbols, threatened security guards and were turned away

," the organization writes in a statement.

Images circulating on social media also show people outside and inside the arena waving Russian flags and flags with Putin's face on them.

"A group of people stood on the steps of the Rod Laver arena, held up a flag with Vladimir Putin's face on it and chanted their support for Russia

," writes The Guardian's tennis journalist Tumaini Carayol, who filmed the people.

Djokovic's father in attendance

Another video that Sports News reporter James Gray has published shows how Novak Djokovic's father Srdjan Djokovic is in place outside the arena together with a group where one person wears the Russian war symbol "Z" on his chest.

According to The Guardian, Srdjan Djokovic is shouting slogans that can be translated to "long live Russian citizens".
