It was earlier last winter that Ebba Andersson tested positive for covid-19.

The illness kept the cross-country star away from competing for a long time.

- I got away relatively easily.

It could have been worse, says Andersson to SVT Sport and continues:

- But I was so ill that there were many days where I had to refrain from training.

When I started up again, I had to be more restrictive than after a common cold.

"With joy I am back"

Now Andersson is ready to compete in the World Cup again.

The 25-year-old is in the Swedish squad in Les Rousses.

- I have been waiting for this for a long time.

There have been many World Cup races that you have had to follow from the TV sofa.

It is with joy that I am back, she says.
