The crisis of the resignation of former English international referee Mark Clattenburg with the Egyptian Football Association has gained wide attention in the past hours, as it topped the Egyptian sports platforms, and international newspapers also paid attention to the matter.

The Egyptian Football Association announced yesterday, Tuesday, that Clattenburg submitted his resignation from his position, and the federation decided to accept it, while taking the necessary measures to preserve the federation’s rights and determine the consequences of the resignation in accordance with the contract concluded between the two parties.

The news of his resignation came after another statement in which the federation stated that Clattenburg had left the group of the Referees Committee, and the Football Association tried to contact him by phone, to no avail.

In a press interview, Clattenburg denied what the Egyptian Federation said, stressing that they did not try to communicate with him and did not receive messages through his private numbers, and they also excluded him from choosing the referees.

He confirmed that the federation's statement contained many lies, and that he would clarify everything. He also indicated that there was an intention to file a complaint with the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), but he had not made his decision in this matter yet.

The federation’s statement included a response to the claims of the previous English referee about not providing him with media protection, as the federation said, “With regard to his lack of protection, Clattenburg’s presence in the Arab Republic of Egypt is the safest country in the world. This is an exaggeration, as he moves alone without harassment and freely.” Completely, like his fellow foreign coaches for the first and Olympic teams.

He added, "As for his criticism in the media, this is something that exists all over the world, and if the matter is personal, then the degrees of litigation are followed, whether in the federation or in the courts."

The case received wide international attention, as many English and international newspapers, such as The Sun, Mirror and Daily Mail, published details of the dispute between Clattenburg and the Egyptian Federation, and the reasons for his sudden departure.

The Sun newspaper indicated that Clattenburg had not received his salary for two months, and that his departure from the Referees Committee was to preserve his safety, after receiving threats from some fans, as well as being attacked by Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour.

Officially.. Egyptian football is facing a global scandal!!!

The Sun English newspaper: Clattenburg was forced to leave Egypt after the club president accused him of being a homosexual!!

A journalist on the Zamalek channel claimed that Clattenburg is homosexual. This was the reason for Clattenburg's statement that the Football Association does not protect him in the media.

We are in disaster!!!

The newspaper also reported Mansour's statements against the former English referee, during which he criticized his performance in the Referees Committee, and accused him of homosexuality.

Egyptian journalist Ahmed Schubert wrote, on his Twitter account, that Clattenburg's decision to travel and return to England came in accordance with the embassy's recommendations when he told them that he was being threatened.

On the other hand, Clattenburg told the people in their embassy that I would threaten them. They told him to travel immediately, and the threat is because of the turbulent speech that we hear day and night, and to which we are accustomed and we say Hanafi, but Khawaja Clattenburg did not even watch Ibn Hamido's film.

This case angered the pioneers of the Egyptian platforms, as the tweeters criticized the way to deal with Clattenburg and the failure to solve his problems that he faced.

Many social media activists mocked the Football Association's statement, which ignored the reality of Clattenburg's problems, and talked about Egypt's safety, which the referee did not mention anything about.

He froze in a statement by the Football Association of Clattenburg, "As for his lack of protection, his presence in the Arab Republic of Egypt is the safest country in the world. This is an exaggeration, as he moves alone without harassment and with complete freedom."

Journalist Amir Abdel Halim said, "Protecting the elements of the game is the responsibility of the Football Association, which issued a statement calling on Clattenburg to prosecute those who insult him if he was subjected to personal insults, instead of providing him with protection as an element of his organization, let alone a foreign element!"

Many warned of the consequences of this problem and the possibility of its development, especially with the hint of the previous referee to resort to "FIFA", which may bring sanctions on the Egyptian Federation, in addition to what some called the global scandal and bad promotion of Egyptian football.

You will stay until when will you watch and shake your brain over all the daily transgressions .. This is the reputation of a country and it has been shaken, and no one
