Already qualified for the quarter-finals of the world championship, France faces Spain this Sunday evening at 9 p.m. in Krakow.

A match without much stake, but which will all the same allow the Blues to measure themselves against an opponent of the top world level.

France-Spain is what is called a prestige poster between two nations who know each other perfectly.

They have already faced each other more than 80 times in the history of handball.

Former international, the current coach of the Blues Guillaume Gille remembers "France-Spain where it was not only caresses on the back".

Objective: first place in the group

If the Blues won gold at the last Olympics, La Roja finished on the podium of all the last major competitions: Games, world and European championships.

Ludovic Fabregas plays for a club in Barcelona and is looking forward to this last match of the main round with pleasure: "There is always a lot of desire. These are matches that generally take place towards the last four. It has a special flavor to be played on a main round game where the stakes for the quarters are non-existent because both teams are through."
