Karlsson, who went all out to win the Tour de Ski for the first time, caught a cold and has been rested for a week but is now back in training.
- She has been ill for about a week and just started up now and has been up and running for a few days.
She has decided not to compete in France next week but is postponing it and aiming for the competitions in Toblach in two weekends, says Viaplay's expert Teodor Peterson.
Karlsson won the tour two weeks ago and then had a couple of sponsorship assignments planned right after returning to Sweden.
- I think that Frida got sick because she took on sponsorship assignments instead of resting, which she needed.
I hope she can learn from it for the future.
Now she felt it was too late to drop out of these assignments, said close friend and roommate Maja Dahlqvist at a press conference ahead of this weekend's competitions in Livigno on Friday.
The WC in Planica, Slovenia, will be held from 22 February to 5 March.
