Rasmus Andersson goes from strength to strength in the Calgary Flames.

Last season he was by far his best mark when he produced 50 points in 82 games and now he looks to be on his way to a new personal best with 33 points in the opening 47 appearances of the season.

In the night's meeting with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the defender had a big part in the 6-3 victory.

First, he played up to Nazem Kadri's 1–0 goal before scoring the 3–2 puck on his own.

A third point came when he played in Dillon Dube for the 4–2 goal midway through the third period.

- We came back quickly after their two goals and lead in the middle of the second period.

And when we then got the lead, we played well the rest of the game and never let go, says Andersson, who is in fourth place in Calgary's internal scoring after Elias Lindholm (42 points), Tyler Toffoli (40) and Nazem Kadri (36).

Calgary eventually won the game 6–3.
