Alves' wife breaks her silence after the Brazilian star was arrested in Spain

The wife of the Brazilian star and former Barcelona player, Dani Alves, spoke for the first time after her husband was arrested and imprisoned in the Spanish city of Barcelona a few days ago, following a trial that the player is currently undergoing in Spain, due to an accusation of sexually assaulting a young Spanish woman, during a night out in A nightclub in Barcelona last December.

The Spanish newspaper "Marca" quoted Joana Sanz, who is of Spanish origin, as saying that she supports her husband in the face of these accusations, and believes in his innocence, and said that there are some women who may accuse her husband unjustly without any evidence.

She said she supported him and would not abandon him during this difficult period.

On the other hand, the Mexican club Pumas, for whom Alves is currently playing, did not wait for the court ruling, and decided to terminate the player's contract, while his lawyer seeks to get him out of prison on bail, pending the court proceedings, which may take a long time.
