The successes in the cross-country have made him Sweden's foremost winter Paralympian of all time with four silver and four bronze in the Paralympics.

But during the para WC in Östersund, Zebastian Modin also competed as a biathlete – and was a super success.

Modin took the silver in the 7.5 kilometers in the visually impaired class.

The big favorite, the Ukrainian Oleksandr Kazik, took home the victory.

However, the Swede was by far the fastest in terms of total riding time, but had five misses in the shooting.

- A real feat by "Sebbe" to maintain that speed and take the silver money despite all the barriers.

His riding form right now is phenomenally good and nobody comes close to matching him.

This is positive for the coming days, says SVT's expert Arnt-Christian Furuberg.

"Lightning Strikes"

It was a happy Modin who was interviewed in SVT's broadcast after the silver.

A total of six riders started the race.

- At some point the lightning strikes and it just bounced on me now!

- It was the skating that won me, not the shooting.

The first series was stable, but then it went downhill (four misses in the second shot, ed's note) and then I thought that I had nothing to do with the victory, but then I was told in the track that I was in the fight for it and then I got extra power.

It must have been really good riding.

It was beyond expectation to start like this, says Modin.

He has the double Olympic gold medalist in cross-country skiing, Daniel Richardsson, as his guide.
