Hwang Seon-woo has been writing the history of Korean swimming without rest for the past year.

11 years after Park Tae-hwan, he won a medal at the long course world championships, and at the short course world championships, he won the gold medal by beating the strongest Popovich.

Confidence has also been multiplied by his technical doping controversial full-body swimsuit days, and his third-best finish of all time.

[Hwang Seon-woo/National swimmer: A new world record was a record that was still in my dreams, but I think it was a (short course) game that made me feel that it was worth a challenge (even for a world record).]

Relay relay also continued to record new records. After ending his splendid teenage days with "," he will challenge a new history this year when he turns 20.

Aiming for the first gold medal beyond Popovich at the Long Course World Championships in July,

[Hwang Seon-woo/National swimming representative: I think there is still a difference in skill (with Popovich), but if I prepare hard, I wonder if there will be good results (at the Long Course World Championships). I think about it.]

At the Asian Games in September, I will challenge for a gold medal in the 100m and 200m freestyle as well as the 800m relay relay, which was blocked by the wall in China and Japan.

[Hwang Seon-woo/Sooyoung National Representative: (With fellow relayers) I've been building up the 'build-up' for about two years and trying to match the sum...

I want to achieve the result of winning the relay race for the first time in Korea.]

Hwang Seon-woo, who will take a step forward this year for the 2024 Paris Olympics, will leave Australia's training camp early next month to prepare for the hopeful 2023 year in earnest.

[Hwang Seon-woo/National Swimming Representative: Happy New Year, please support swimmer Hwang Seon-woo.

thank you.

Fighting!!]
