The Disciplinary Committee of the French Football Federation has issued its final decision against Eric Bailly, the Olympique de Marseille player, who is on loan from Manchester United.

Bailly was sent off with a red card directly a quarter of an hour after the start of the Marseille match against its host Hyères, on January 7, 2023, in the French Cup round of 64.

Bailey got this card after his violent intervention on the chest of Mike Moussa Ndiaye, a Hyer player, in the manner of kung fu players, which caused the player to be hospitalized.

Because of this dangerous intervention, Ndiaye was removed from the stadium on a stretcher, and was rushed to the hospital, where the player suffered from fractured ribs, and pain in the lung and liver, according to the French newspaper Le Parisien.

The newspaper stated that Bailey, 28, was banned from playing 7 full matches due to his violent assault.

Bailey missed the two matches of the French southern team against Troon and Lorient, which Marseille won 2-0 and 3-1, respectively, in the 18th and 19th rounds of the league.

Bailly will not appear with Marseille in the French Cup round of 32 match, which is scheduled for today, Friday, January 20, 2023 against Rennes.

The Ivorian defender will also be absent from the team in the next four matches in the French League against Monaco, Nantes, Nice, and finally Clermont Foot, while he will return in the confrontation against Toulouse in the 24th round.

It is noteworthy that Bailey had visited Ndiaye in the hospital and apologized to him, and a picture of them together was spread on social media.

Eric Bailly visited Hyères FC midfielder Almike N'Diaye, who he seriously injured this weekend in a cup match.

The 26-year-old sustained several broken ribs and liver/lung pain as a result of the challenge.

The injured player left the hospital, but will be out of action for several months due to this injury.

Meanwhile, Mourad Boujlal, president of the Hieres club, confirmed that Bailey came to his team's dressing room, apologized for that shot several times, and gave his opponent his shirt, according to "Le Parisien".

Bailey's season is not going well, as he participated in only 6 matches in the French League with Marseille, who will be committed to buying the player's contract from Manchester United this summer, if he meets some conditions.
