The Brazilian full-back Dani Alves, who is one of the most successful footballers of the 21st century, has been detained in Barcelona.
That after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a nightclub at the end of December.
Alves says he was at the nightclub but denies the allegations and says he is innocent.
“I was there with more people who were having fun.
Everyone knows that I love to dance, to have fun but without invading other people's spaces,” he says.
Alves, who played the World Cup for Brazil and left FC Barcelona this summer, will now appear in court where his future fate will be decided.
Today, Alves plays for Mexican UNAM.
