It looked really bad for the San Jose Sharks in the meeting with the Dallas Stars.

With just under half the game played, the Stars had jumped out to a seemingly safe 3-0 lead and there was little to suggest a Sharks turnaround.

However, Steve Lorentz lit a little hope with his 3–1 reduction after 9.41 in the second period and then it was time for Erik Karlsson to step into the proceedings.

The two-time Norris Trophy winner first played until the 3–2 deficit and the 3–3 equalizer before scoring the match-deciding 4–3 goal on his own.

Just to be sure, he ended it all by playing team captain Logan Couture to make it 5–3, which also became the last goal of the match.

Karlsson is now up to 62 points (15 goals and 47 assists) in 46 games played and leads the defenders in superior style.

In fact, only star forwards Connor McDavid (84 points), Leon Draisaitl (70) and David Pastrnak (63) scored more points than Karlsson this season.
