The Football Association received eight nominations for the position of chairman, now three main candidates remain.

The three candidates are former Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, former Microsoft CEO Hélène Barnekow and Lars-Christer Olsson, former secretary general of the European Football Association.

Current chairman Karl-Erik Nilsson chooses to step aside in the spring as he approaches the federal board's twelve-year mark after eleven years as chairman and one year as a member.
