Sweden's right winger Lukas Sandell tries to combine his handball career with economics studies, something that does not always succeed.

On Friday, when Sweden had a game-free day, he wrote the exam under some time pressure.

- I actually had five hours in which to test it, but I only managed two and a half because then we had to train, so there will probably be a retest.

But then at least I've trained a little extra, says Sandell.

Collecting for the economics degree

Lukas Sandell is taking a few different economics courses with the goal of combining them into a full economics degree.

- I run some courses remotely while I play because one day you stop and then it's good to have something to stand on.

Then the handball definitely goes first, that's what I have the most focus on, he says.

"My lowest priority"

In addition to the failed exam, he still thinks it works to combine his handball career with his studies, but his studies are not his main focus.

- It works fine, I would say.

I also have a little daughter at home who also takes up a lot of time, so studying is probably my lowest priority.

But if I get a few extra courses in and pass it, that's great for me.

When do you take the re-exam?

- If I'm being honest, I haven't fully checked when it is because now the focus is completely on handball.
