The NBA returns to Paris.

The Detroit Pistons will face the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night at the Accor Hotel Arena.

It is therefore the return of American basketball, two years after the first NBA regular season game with Charlotte Hornets-Milwaukee Bucks.

A gala match which will be followed as a red thread in the program "Europe 1 Sport".

The NBA is making a comeback in Paris.

Two years after the first regular season game of the most famous basketball league in the world on French soil, the Accord Hotel Arena will host a new game: the Detroit Pistons against the Chicago Bulls, Thursday evening at 9 p.m.

An opportunity for part of the French public to attend a poster of the best basketball championship in the world.

This will therefore be the first NBA game in Europe since 2020 and the 12th league game in France since 1991. The NBA Paris Game 2020 (the first NBA regular season game in Paris) took place on January 24, 2020 and was opposed the Charlotte Hornets to the Milwaukee Bucks.

All-Star Players

American basketball fans will be able to admire this duel between two rather poorly ranked franchises in the Eastern Conference.

Indeed, the Chicago Bulls are in 11th place in the standings while the Detroit Pistons rank penultimate, in 14th place.

But the Chicago Bulls (six-time NBA champions) and the Detroit Pistons (three-time NBA champions) will still be eagerly awaited on the Paris floor with also All Star players like DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine: a great evening of basketball in NBA mode and above all the guarantee of a high level show with dunks and non-stop action.

"The Bulls marked their era and seeing them again 25 years later in Paris is, for everyone, a real happiness", enthused Rémi Reverchon in the program

Europe 1 Sport

(every evening from 8 p.m. 11 p.m.), before continuing: "We are privileged. Throughout the season, there are only two matches that take place abroad: one in Mexico City and one in Paris."

But this exported gala match is also the occasion, even an opportunity, for France to soak up the American model, mixing the sporting aspect and the entertaining side.

"When we go to see an NBA match, we will see much more than a basketball match," assured Remi Reverchon in

Europe 1 Sport

.

Mascots, dancers and dancers between quarters and during time-outs, music in their ears, this NBA meeting will go beyond the sporting aspect alone.

For Thierry Bretagne, it's a real chance for France to receive such a meeting: "Today we are in a sports context in France where we also take on the marks of the NBA a little bit. We use a little this experience, we exploit this experience to go towards spectacle sport more and more," said the latter.

The game will be sold out.

And for the unfortunates who were unable to obtain a precious sesame, the match will be offered as a common thread in the

Europe 1 Sport

program and broadcast on television on Bein Sport and on Canal +.
