The Rangers have signed Yoshitomo Tsutsugo to a minor league contract.

It means that I will participate in the camp that starts next month as an invitation player.

Last season, Tsutsugo signed a one-year contract with the Pirates and played 50 games, but his batting average was 10%, 7 minutes and 1 rin, 2 home runs, and 19 RBIs, and he became a free contract in August.

After that, he signed a minor contract with the Blue Jays, but he was not promoted to the major leagues and became an FA = free agent after the season ended.

He was looking for a contract with a major league team this season, but on the 15th, the Rangers announced that they had signed Tsutsugo to a minor contract.

According to the team and others, he will participate in the camp that will start in Arizona next month as an invited player and aim to enter the 40-man quota of the major league.

The Rangers, based in Arlington, Texas, are the same team in the American League Western Division as the Angels, to which Shohei Otani belongs, and pitcher Kohei Arihara belonged until last season.

Last season, they finished fourth in the district with 68 wins and 94 losses.
