On the official website of the tournament, opposite the names of players from Russia and Belarus, the abbreviations RUS and BLR are indicated - just as it was before the introduction of any restrictions. 

The head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, proposed to allow Russian athletes to participate in international competitions under a neutral flag if they distance themselves from the situation in Ukraine.

Wimbledon organizers suspended Russian and Belarusian tennis players from participating in the tournament, but the ATP considered Wimbledon's decision to undermine the principles and integrity of the association's rating system and deprived the British Open of rating points for 2022.

The WTA and ITF followed suit.

Earlier, 18-time USSR champion Anna Dmitrieva assessed Daniil Medvedev's chances of winning the Australian Open tennis championship.
