AIK is in a serious slump.

The last time they won a game was on November 15 when they defeated SDE 2–0 at home.

Since then, the losses have piled up and at the moment there is quite a lot to say that they will be forced to qualify to keep the SDHL place.

AIK has indeed scraped together as many points as HV71, but the big difference is that AIK, in a really limping table, only has eight games left to play in the regular season, while HV has twelve.

On January 28, they meet in Husqvarna Garden.

In today's derby, Djurgården took an early 2-0 lead after goals from Tanja Eisenschmid and Lova Blom and then there was never really any talk about the matter.

The home team played disciplined, stayed out of the penalty box and spent a lot of time in AIK's zone.

Before the second period was over, Josefine Jakobsen was also invited to score a 3–0 goal after carelessness in the AIK defence.

The third period turned out to be quite a rejected story.

Djurgården mostly seemed to want to play the match and AIK did not create much of value despite the vulnerable situation.

In Djurgården's goal, Ida Boman had to keep her third clean sheet of the season.

- I'll try to be positive, but it's hard that we don't manage to score any goals, we've had problems with that for a while, but I still want to praise my teammates for never giving up, says Sara Säkkinen.

But even though the players in AIK toiled hard, it was uneventful going forward.

- There are several different reasons for that.

We have practiced getting in front of the goal and getting the puck in there, sometimes we try to be too creative when we just need to do shit, says Säkkinen.

The derby victory was Djurgården's fourth in a row and now they are back on the winning track again after two honorable losses against Luleå and Modo.
