After three partial competitions in 2022, this week it was time for the King of the Court tournament series to be decided with final games in Qatar's capital, Doha.
And there, just like in the Munich EC this summer, the Swedes David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig won and stepped to the top of the podium.
"Wanted good matching"
King of the Court is a game form that can be compared to "Lord of the Court", where you play for a certain amount of time and then have to score as many points as possible.
When all teams have met each other, the team with the least number of points goes out.
- We wanted to have a good match quite early in the season and feel that we got to play against really, really good opposition right away so we are ready for the first tournament.
It's quite a fast pace and if it goes as well as it did now, you get good playing time, so that's good, says David Åhman.
