When Sweden beat Brazil in the WC premiere, Eric Johansson scored one of the goals.

The 22-year-old is predicted to have a bright future.

The left-back has had his big breakthrough in Kiel during the season and was awarded the other week as the world's best young player.

Sweden's national team captain Glenn Solberg is clearly impressed by Eskilstunasonen.

- We must not forget that he was born in 2000. He is a fantastic player and will become one of the best in the world.

I'm sure of that, he says.

Going to battle against Carlsborgård

But Johansson is not guaranteed a place on the field.

He is fighting against Barcelona star Jonathan Carlsbogård - who started for Sweden during the last championships.

- (Jonathan) Carlsbogård, Albin (Lagergren) and Jim (Gottfridsson) have played together for three years and they play fantastic handball together, says Solberg.

Johansson himself is humble about the competitive situation.

He enjoys being in the Swedish national team the most.

- Just being able to play a WC on home ground is incredibly big.

To be able to do it at such a young age is really cool.

On Saturday evening, the group stage for Sweden continues.

Then Cape Verde awaits.

The match starts at 20.30.
