The last time Sandviken won against Edsbyn was on January 11, 2019. Since then, the teams have met in twelve matches in the Elitserien and the Swedish Cup, which resulted in eight victories for Edsbyn and four draws.

But tonight Sandviken managed to break the sad trend.

And it did so with notice.

After half an hour of play they had gone up to a reassuring 6-0 lead and then there was never any talk of the matter.

The second half was, for obvious reasons, pretty much rejected, but Sandviken at least managed to score three more balls, and Edsbyn's Tommi Määttä even managed to score a consolation goal before referee Ulrik Bergman blew the match off, which ended 9-1 to Sandviken.
