Sharjah Self-Defense Sports awards 22 players with black belts in its first batch

The Board of Directors of Sharjah Clubs for Self-Defense Sports celebrated the graduation of 22 male and female Taekwondo players who won the international black belt, in the first batch of club players since its inception.


 The members of the Board of Directors, Obaid Al-Assam Al-Suwaidi, Tariq Jumaa Al-Suwaidi, Ali Obaid Al-Hamoudi, Khaled Ibrahim Al-Nakhi, and the Executive Director of the Club, Eng. Hanadi Khalifa Al-Kabouri, participated in the handing over of the international certificates and the black belt.


The list of players who obtained the black belt included: Osama Mahmoud Lutfi, Ali Jassim, Jaber Muhammad Jaber, Taha Nashat, Nabil Ayman, Ahmed Mahmoud Lutfi, Nur Raslan, Maryam Taher, Nour Majdalawi, Fatima Muhammad Jaber, Hamdan Khaled Al-Qarmati, Bejad Walid, Abd al-Rahman Khalid al-Qarmati, Sultan al-Suwaidi, Salah al-Din Maali, Zahid al-Rahman, Hamdan Ali, Ali Reda, Abdullah Zuhair, Batool Raslan and Rashid Ibrahim.


 In this context, Tareq Jumaa Al-Suwaidi, a member of the club’s board of directors and Taekwondo sports supervisor, praised the qualitative shift experienced by the sport of Taekwondo in the club. He described the international black belt attainment by 22 male and female players as one of the club’s most important gains in Taekwondo, especially as it is the first black belt promotion batch in the club since its establishment in 2016. .


He pointed out that this will give the players a great moral motivation to continue their pursuit of achieving ambition and also for those in charge of Taekwondo affairs to continue working towards achieving the club's future vision, stressing that it reflects the success of the approved technical plans.


He stressed that the Sports Training Department will recommend the club's coaches to work on graduating the second batch of the black belt campaign during the year 2023 as well, and coinciding with the ceremony, the technical director, Ali Alawi, gave an brief about the importance of the players obtaining the international black belt, stressing that this came after technical training and scientific lectures that lasted four Years during which they participated in strong sports tournaments locally and internationally
