Frölunda took command at the start of the match against Luleå with a fantastic solo goal in the first period.

Defender Andreas Borgman, who was back in the game, broke the deadlock after a solo raid to make it 1-0 after eight minutes.

- I get a good gap up in the cross, so it's just a matter of splashing it there, said Frölundas Borgman during the break after the first period.

But after a video review, Luleå equalized at 1-1 in the power play, 1-1 through Brendan Shinnimin in the second period after just over six minutes played.

Frölunda turned to draw

Luleå's lead goal also came in the second period through Finn Joonas Rask.

Frölunda came back and equalized in the third period through Max Friberg, who settled the final score at 2-2.

In the second CHL semi-final, Tappara won against Zug 2-0 with, among others, Swedish Carl Klingberg in the starting line-up.

The semi-final returns will be played on Tuesday, January 17.
