Frida Karlsson won the Tour de Ski yesterday - as the first Swede in 15 years.

But it was a highly dramatic ending when the Swede collapsed after the monster hill.

She received treatment for a long time but then made her way to the hotel in her own car.

Later in the day, she met SVT Sport and admitted that it had been scary, but that she then felt better.

But the fact that she was so exhausted means that there will now be some changes in the training plan.

- Normally after a tour it's a quiet week, but we take a few extra quiet days.

So there will be a little extra rest, says her trainer Per Nilsson to SVT Sport, and tells how it was for him to see her react the way she did.

- It was hard to see that.

I know she can get out, it was a bit exciting.

But it was probably the combination that the tank was empty, and the stress when you see how Niskanen and Weng approached.

So it was probably both physiological and mental.

The next World Cup competitions are in Italian Livigno on January 21-22.

But it's a sprint weekend that Karlsson planned to stand over all along.

Therefore, the plan is for her to make a World Cup comeback in French Les Rousses on January 27-29.
