The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games will be grandiose, "the marker of spectacular, creative, innovative and open Games", boasted the president of the organizing committee Tony Estanguet during his presentation a year ago.

But how much will it cost to attend?

The prices differ enormously, depending on whether you are an individual or a company.

In its edition of the day,

Le Parisien

reveals the prices applied for the big launch of the Olympic Games (July 24, 2024), which will not be formalized until the spring.

Regarding the general public, the majority of the 600,000 spectators announced throughout the six-kilometre route between the Austerlitz bridge and the Trocadero esplanade will not pay anything.

These are places on the top of the platforms.

For those closer to the Seine, it will take between 90 and 2,700 euros.

A single agency for all VIP services

It will not be the same for companies, of course.

For companies wishing to provide a top-of-the-range service for their customers, the floor price is set at 5,500 euros (4,250 euros for a sponsor) for a place in the VIP stand with access to a reception area.

It is the On Location agency which will market all the VIP services for the ceremony and the competitions.

As for the highest price, 25,000 euros, it corresponds to the rare places available to be able to attend the parade as close as possible to the sports delegations, from a cruise ship.

All these prices were established "after extensive market research with potential customers", explained the organizing committee to Parisian.
