The Swedish U18 national team in ice hockey won in the last training match before the home WC in Östersund.

In Timrå, the decisive goal came with barely three minutes remaining in the third period.

In the power play, Isabelle Leijonhielm, a regular in the SDHL team AIK, made it 1–0 after a pass from HV71's Jenna Raunio.

Ida Henriksson (HA74) and Felicia Frank (Brynäs) guarded the box for half the match each, and in the 1–0 victory they saved 24 and 25 shots respectively.

- A very strong team effort where the work for each other was really good.

The U18 WC in Östersund starts on Sunday.

Sweden meets the USA at 16:00 in their opening match, which is broadcast on SVT1 and Play.
