The triathlon stars are eagerly awaited on the side of the Promenade des Anglais.
This is what was announced on Thursday: Nice becomes co-organizer of the Ironman world championship and will therefore host the next World Championships, alternating with the district of Kona, in Hawaii, where these competitions are traditionally contested.
"The [men's] race will take place on September 10, 2023," organizers said in a statement.
The women will play their world championships on October 14, 2023, in Kona.
In 2024, the men will go to Kona and the women to Nice and the rotation will continue until 2026.”

The Ironman long distance triathlon is disputed over 3.8 km of swimming, 180.2 km of cycling and 42,195 km of running, a marathon, to conclude.
The fifth largest city in France has already been organizing Ironman France since 2005, the next edition of which, qualifying for the world championships, will be held in June.
"Nice has established itself as a real land of sport and has become a reference recognized throughout the world", welcomed the mayor Christian Estrosi, whose city will notably host the historic arrival of the Tour de France 2024.
